Trigonometry Calculators

Trigonometry connects angles to side ratios in right triangles and, via the unit circle, extends those relationships to all real angles. These calculators cover the unit circle, all six trig functions, angle conversions, and triangle angle properties.

Two Trigonometry Calculators

Unit Circle Calculator - Enter any angle in degrees or radians to get the exact unit circle point (cos θ, sin θ), all six trig values (sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, cot), the quadrant, the reference angle, and exact fraction/radical forms for the 16 standard angles.

Angle Sum Property of a Triangle Calculator - Find the missing third angle of any triangle using A + B + C = 180°, or verify that three angles form a valid triangle. Classifies result as acute, right, or obtuse.

What is the unit circle in trigonometry?+
The unit circle is a circle with radius 1 centered at the origin of a Cartesian plane. Any point on it can be written as (cos θ, sin θ), where θ is the angle measured counter-clockwise from the positive x-axis. This defines sine and cosine for all angles, not just those in a right triangle. It also explains why sin² θ + cos² θ = 1 (the Pythagorean identity) follows directly from the circle equation x² + y² = 1.
